(This was a little bit chaotic. For example: we realized after the fact that we totally missed discussing the Pete mention in the Kim/Kylie/Kendall scene - will revisit on Tuesday.) Another episode worthy of deep analysis. Emma and Julie touch on it all, with no lack of tangents throughout. They spend the most time on the intro scene of Kylie/Kourt/Khloé re: beauty standards, and the bizarre follow-up convo between Kim and Kourtney. What. An. Episode. Unbelievable from start to finish. We begin with the long awaited discussion between Kim and Kourtney, which Emma and Julie spend a large portion of the episode deep diving. We also witness Kim become overwhelmed by the stresses of her life, prompting Khloé to swoop in as an unparalleled source of support and comfort. The episode concludes with a celebration of the woman who started it all: the one and only Kris Jenner. SO much to discuss here. It's getting goooood. As Kim is putting her finishing touches on the D&G show in Milan, things are heating up back in Calabasas. Kourtney confides in Kendall as to her growing frustration with Kim x D&G, sharing how hurtful she finds it all to be. Kourtney is also voicing this upset in the family group chat, where refusal to post a t-shirt sparks some serious drama. Kim isn't made aware of the extent of this until Khloé & Kris touch down in Milan and fill her in. We're dealing with a whole other beast this episode in terms of last week's strictly speculation vs. this week's somewhat confirmation. Next up is a Coachella debrief: Shawn & Camila, Kendall & Bad Bunny, Leo & Irina, TikTok/Influencer content, the Stassiebaby of it all, and more. Emma and Julie take a necessary break from recapping Kim's 2011 wedding to Kris Humphries to focus on the just-released Kravis wedding special. They start out acknowledging the stark contrast between the drama-free, loving nature of this and the chaotic, mayhem-fueled display that was Kris & Kim's. They discuss it all: the aesthetics, the stylistic videography choices, the familial dynamics, the Italy of it all, Megan Fox's gluten intolerance, and more. TL;DR: they know some people hate on them, but Emma & Julie are fully aboard the Kravis train. And just like that, Kim's wedding to Kris Humphries has come to an end. (The wedding special that is - we still have 72 days of the actual marriage to recap.) Emma and Julie continue to unpack the tense days leading up to the wedding - the debate about changing her last name, the logistical nightmares that arise, and just the general lack of calmness surrounding the occasion. They also touch on Kim's deep sadness regarding Robert's absence, and how her breakdown allowed Kris to see a side of her he hadn't yet. What a ride this was. (Emma and Julie also include a tangent re: James Corden's YouTube video roleplaying a Kardashian/Jenner assistant.) Another absolute epic episode of reality television. Emma and Julie begin by acknowledging how bizarre it is to be watching this episode - where Kourtney proclaims just how unwilling she is to ever get married - at the same time as Hulu drops the preview for Kourtney & Travis' wedding special. They then get into an energized (and tangent heavy) recap: Vera Wang, Wolfgang Puck, the bachelorette/bachelor parties, Minnesota, and so much more. This was one of the most fun times Julie & Emma have had recapping an episode. Emma and Julie are ELATED to be back recapping part two of this wedding special. Before getting into it, they discuss The Kardashians season 3 trailer that dropped on Monday and their hope that the show will be more climactic than the trailer itself. They then breakdown (almost) every detail in the second part of Kim's Fairytale Wedding. They discuss the mounting tension between Kris and Khloé, Kris's desire to be a part of the wedding planning process, Rob's struggles, and so much more. This episode did not disappoint.
