Show Notes
Waiving the right to see recommendation letters can make them appear more trustworthy to colleges. This is because recommenders may be more honest knowing you won't see the letter. However, you won't know what your recommender wrote. You should waive if you trust your recommender and are applying to selective schools. You shouldn't waive if you are unsure about your recommender or the school doesn't heavily weigh recommendations.
