In this chilling episode of Cold and Missing, Ali and Eli explore the tragic double murder of Rose Burkert and Roger Atkison, which occurred in September, 1980, at the Amana Holiday Inn in Iowa. Rose, a devoted mother and caregiver, was involved in an affair with Roger, a married man experiencing turmoil in his own marriage. Their weekend getaway took a horrific turn when they were found brutally murdered in their hotel room, having suffered multiple blows to the head. The crime scene had baffling details like messages written in soap and toothpaste found in the bathtub, yet there was no forced entry, leaving investigators stumped.
