Patrick was a "dyed-in-the-wool" deep packet inspection guy until the day he had an epiphany and realized that pretty soon existing security approaches were going to run into unsolvable problems. His response to that ultimately became Observable Networks, which Cisco acquired last year. In this episode Patrick explains what sustainable security technology looks like (hint: a lot like Stealthwatch Cloud), how it works, how it fits into the larger Cisco security portfolio, and how it protects "the time and attention of its users."
