Show Notes

On this show, we welcome a very special guest Asaf Klaf Weisman. Asaf is a clinician and a researcher, who for the better part of the last decade has really challenged some of the conventional wisdom around contemporary pain science, pain neuroscience education, and the biopsychosocial model as a whole. For this convo, we use the widely accepted aphorism of “Nociception is neither necessary nor sufficient for pain” as an example to anchor to what might be, at best, a claim formed on shaky evidence and at worst, just plain wrong, misleading, and keeping the field from moving forward.

Zak leads this interview, and we unpack many layers. It’s a dense show, so make sure you eat something, buckle in and prepare for some mind melt in the best way. The Brain Gainz come off the back end of that.

We hope you enjoy!
