Show Notes
Join us on March twenty-first at Christ Episcopal Church for the Quilted for Community fundraiser, supporting groups battling food insecurity. This event showcases forty quilts, vintage pieces, and a workshop tour, all made from secondhand materials. The Socially Responsible Sweatshop of Kent, founded in 2013, has donated over $135,000 to local social services since 2021, buying meat for hot meals and stocking food pantries. With seventy volunteers, theyve transformed donated fabrics into useful items, raising over $60,000 at farmers markets last year. Admission is free, and all proceeds go to the cause.
