Show Notes
Perrysburg claims Division One state wrestling title, ending St. Edwards ten-year reign. The Yellow Jackets edged out the Eagles by a narrow margin of 173.5 to 168.5. Both teams crowned three individual state champions, with St. Edwards seniors Karson Brown and Aidan Peterson, and junior Frankie Pieffer winning their respective weight classes. Perrysburgs freshman standout, Bradley Bauman, narrowly missed out on a title in the 120-pound final. St. Edwards Connor Whitely and Yung Driscoll placed third and fifth in their weight classes, respectively. Despite the loss, St. Edwards young lineup gained valuable state experience, setting the stage for future challenges.
