Show Notes

Ohios May fifth primary election is fast approaching, with the registration deadline on April sixth and early voting starting April seventh. The states semi-open primary system allows all registered voters to choose either partys ballot on the spot. Republicans and Democrats have several statewide contests, while Libertarians are only competing for Senate. The primaries will determine who advances to the November general election ballot. Early voting runs through May third, and polls are open from six-thirty a.m. to seven-thirty p.m. on Election Day. Mail ballots can be sent without an excuse, and in-person voters need a valid photo ID.
