Lakewood High Schools Physics Cardboard Boat Regatta: A Splashing Success!

High school seniors at Lakewood High School recently held their twenty-fourth annual Physics Cardboard Boat Regatta, where students showcased their cardboard boat-building skills. The event, held at the natatorium on March fifth, saw fifty-six percent of the boats successfully cross the twenty-five-yard pool with two students paddling inside. The project, sponsored by Tavens Packaging and Display Solutions, was a culmination of a quarter-long study on Archimedes Principle. The top teams, including Gwen Hongosh, Maya Trempe, Grace Lowmiller, and Alex Adamov, took home the top prizes. Lakewood also has upcoming community events, such as LakewoodAlives Knowing Your Home workshops and the Fairview Park Garden Clubs Petal Power Raffle.
