Family Devastated: Akron Man Killed in Hit-and-Run, Driver Sought
The Williams family in Akron, Ohio, is mourning the loss of twenty-three-year-old Richard Williams, who was tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident on March fourth. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Richard did not survive. The driver fled the scene and remains at large.
Richard was a vibrant young man with a passion for football and track, who had dreams of creating a family neighborhood. Police are now seeking a white or silver Kia Sportage from 2021-2025, possibly with damage to the passenger-side headlight, mirror, hood, or windshield.
The family urges anyone with information to come forward and help bring closure to this devastating incident. Call Akron Police Accident Reconstruction at 330-375-2506 or Summit County Crimestoppers at 330-434-COPS.
