Yiorgos Kaloudis interprets on the Classical Cretan Lyra, one of the most important works of Baroque Music, J.S.Bach’s Cello Suites on the Cretan Lyra.
Cellist, Cretan lyra player, improviser and composer, Yiorgos Kaloudis created a new interpretive approach, adding a fourth string (low C), on the traditional Cretan lyra, changing the technique of the interpretation on both hands and transcribing this work of Bach in the authentic tonalities of the composer.
