In today's episode, Pierre and Jeff finally get to talk about one of Anna Kendrick's biggest movies: the psychological thriller/dark comedy A Simple Favor!
Based on the book by Darcey Bell -- which itself draws inspiration from classic movies like Diabolique, Strangers on a Train, and Single White Female -- A Simple Favor tells the story of Stephanie and Emily, two friends brought together by their kids, whose relationship is thrown out of wack when Emily suddenly disappears. In preparation, our hosts watched Diabolique, while Jeff additionally read the book and watched a few of the other inspirations for this movie. Tune in as Pierre and Jeff break down the inspirations for the film before getting as nit-picky as they can about Paul Feig and his directing!
