For his third Inspector Poirot film, Kenneth Branagh adapts the lesser-known Agatha Christie mystery Hallowe'en Party. Moving the action to Venice instead of rural England, A Haunting In Venice finds a retired Poirot reluctantly brought back to investigate a several-years-old murder alongside mystery writer Ariadne Oliver (Tina Fey) and medium Joyce Reynolds (Michelle Yeoh). But when another murder happens, Poirot must reckon with the ghosts not only of the deceased, but of his own past, as he slowly realizes that there's more to the people in the house with him than he originally thought...
