Show Notes

This weekend in Kilfenora, a unique gathering is bringing together craftspeople, makers, builders and storytellers from across Ireland to celebrate the skills that shape our heritage and communities. Hand to Hand: A Gathering of Traditional, Heritage and Cultural Skillsharers is taking place at Common Knowledge, as part of its Heritage in Action programme supported by The Heritage Council. Across two days, the event will explore everything from woodworking and blacksmithing to storytelling, embroidery and sustainable craft — all centred on how skills are learned, shared and sustained. To find out more, on Friday's Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey was joined by knifemaker Holly Loftus and Carpenter Eoin Reardon. Photo (c) Common Knowledge
