Show Notes

Forty-years ago today – May 13, 1985 – the Philadelphia Police Department dropped a bomb on its own residents. Inside a West Philly rowhome, 11 people, including five children – all members of the Black-led group MOVE – died. How did this happen? Reporter Linn Washington Jr. has covered MOVE for 50 years. Now, he’s the host of a new podcast series from Temple University’s Klein College’s Logan Center for Urban Investigative Reporting and The Philadelphia Inquirer called “MOVE: Untangling the Tragedy.” He’s joined in this conversation by the podcast’s executive producer, Yvonne Latty.
