Show Notes
It’s Wednesday, so we’re talking politics on City Cast Philly. State Representative Jared Solomon of Northeast Philly is sometimes referred to as a “reformer.” Why? He wants to ban Pennsylvania state lawmakers from getting gifts from people who are trying to curry their favor. He wants to term limits for congressional representatives. And he wants to eliminate Philly’s long-troubled sheriff’s office. In this wide-ranging interview at his law office in Center City, Solomon talks about why he’s committed to reform, what’s happening with the Roosevelt Boulevard SEPTA project, and how – maybe most controversially – he says people should go to the Northeast for the best and cheapest restaurants in the city.
