Show Notes

Happy Mother's Day folks! This week we are heading to sunday brunch with one of Hollywood's most notorious actresses and mothers; Joan Crawford. A woman who optimized Hollwood royalty during the golden age of cinema with such films as Mildred Pierce and Whatever Happened to Baby Jane. But behind the glitz and glamor were allegations of child abuse from her adopted daughter, Christina. And thus leads us to this week's film, Mommie Dearest. A movie that some may view as exploitative and others as a document of one woman's childhood hell.
