Show Notes
Description:
Becky D’Anna joins to talk about Alex Garland, and specifically the films that have been released by A24 — Ex Machina, Men, and Civil War. We talk about the sense of dread that he creates and how he’s such an excellent writer. Becky compares his work to Ingmar Bergman. He uses sound and photography to accomplish this, and there are parallels to Hour of the Wolf, Shame, and others.
