Former Lakota East High School teacher, Justin Dennis, sentenced to 4.5 years for exploiting a 17-year-old student. Dennis, 43, pleaded guilty to attempted sexual battery, admitting to multiple encounters in his classroom and serving as the students mental health advisor. The relationship lasted from Dec 2021 to Sep 2022, with Dennis resigning after his arrest in Aug 2022. He will register as a sex offender for life.
