Spring brings outdoor burn bans in Ohio and Kentucky to prevent wildfires. Ohios ban is from March to May and October to November, while Kentuckys is from February to April and October to December. Burning is restricted to natural plant debris and must be at least 150 feet from woods or brush during daytime hours. Exceptions include field plowing and burning, but trash, dead animals, rubber, and petroleum products are prohibited. Fires must be at least 1000 feet from neighbors homes with no smoke blocking roads.
