Ohio mans murder conviction upheld, resentencing ordered: A forty-seven-year-old mans conviction for the brutal killing of a thirty-five-year-old woman in June 2024 was upheld by an Ohio appeals court. The victims remains were found in a trash can, and the man was sentenced to forty-four and a half years to life. The conviction was based on testimony from an accomplice and two jailhouse informants, as well as blood trails and DNA evidence. The man maintains his innocence, but the appeals court found the evidence sufficient to support the conviction. He is now headed back to court for resentencing.
