Tragic Loss: Ohio Air National Guard Members Killed in Iraq Crash
Three Ohio Air National Guard members, including Captain Curtis J. Angst, Captain Seth R. Koval, and Technical Sergeant Tyler H. Simmons, lost their lives in a KC-135 refueling plane crash over Iraq last month. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Angst, a Wilmington native, graduated from Wilmington High School and the University of Cincinnati. He leaves behind his parents, sister, and wife. A full military honors burial is planned for this Friday at Dayton National Cemetery, followed by a celebration of his life at the Roberts Centre in Wilmington. As investigations continue and communities honor these heroes, the real cost of service is remembered.
