Hamilton police in Ohio are set to receive two advanced drones through the states Drone as First Responder pilot program. These drones, stationed in the city center, will provide quick aerial views of scenes, helping officers respond faster and plan ahead. They can reach the farthest edges, fly at least forty miles per hour, and stay in the air for thirty to forty minutes. The drones will boost help for medical calls, fires, and wrecks by covering wide areas in less time and can even drop items like Narcan for overdoses or flotation gear for water rescues. The program begins in June, fully funded by the state, with Hamilton providing landing spots and pilots.
