Angela Davis, a Cincinnati pioneer, shares her inspiring journey of breaking barriers during Womens History Month. Born in 1937, she faced segregation but turned challenges into firsts. From sneaking to the front pews in church to becoming the first Black student in her seventh-grade integrated school, Davis never slowed down. She moved to Cincinnati, becoming the first Black nun with the Sisters of Charity and the first Black teacher at Hyde Park Elementary. Her resilience earned her the Martin Luther King Junior Award, but her greatest pride is her family. Davis loves sharing her story, reminding us how one persons bold steps light paths for many.
