Experts say that just as some physical traumas need first aid, there are also times when a person may need <a href="https://www.nctsn.org/treatments-and-practices/psychological-first-aid-and-skills-for-psychological-recovery/about-pfa">psychological first aid</a> to validate emotions, reduce stress and foster coping skills.
