This year, many of us believed boldly for specific things, yet some of those desires didn't happen. As I reflected on my own unmet expectations, God led me to a simple but powerful thought: ask Him why. Matthew 7:7–11 reminds us that God gives good gifts to His children—not just material blessings, but also wisdom, insight, and understanding. So it's not a lack of faith to ask God why something didn't happen. In fact, knowing why is itself a good gift. As we close out this year, I encourage you to take time with God and ask Him why certain things you believed for didn't unfold. Stay with that question until your spirit is open enough to receive His answer. Because once you understand the why, you'll be positioned to step into a stronger year ahead.
