Taking some time to really consider, what does it mean to be a true follower of Jesus?

Christ the Son of God, the Author of human salvation, the fount and source of all goodness, furnished heavenly medicine, He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all that were sick. Dæmons and diseases He sent away with a word, that by these signs, and mighty works, He might show that He was come for the salvation of the human race.

Jesus' tender power fully displayed through faith, a touch, and a word.

The beginning of Advent- and our new series: The Born King

Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever. They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord. Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes. They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor, their righteousness endures forever; their horn will be lifted high in honour.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me,’” (Matthew 7:21-23).

Our final Sunday looking at the 'Golden rule' in the Way of Jesus.

A 'Golden Rule' and the culture it produces when followed, seems almost unattainable. Even with every intention, we get in our own way; if not for the Gospel of Jesus, which not only makes it possible for us, it can restore our hearts to its natural state of following this way, His way, the way of Jesus.

Fr. Ryan continues our deep exploration of the 'Golden Rule' and asks a question perhaps we've been to apprehensive to consider- What do you wish?

A new season in The Way of Jesus - You've heard the 'Golden Rule', but just how deep and how far can Jesus' rule cover and take us? Is it the rule we've covered our own lives with, is it a better one?

How do we discern which influences to allow in our life? What are the qualities and outcomes from someones influence that we should be looking for? In this episode we look at Jesus’ teaching concerning False Prophets in Matthew 7:15-20 and the different types of “wolves” that infiltrate the life of the Christian and the Church.

How do you know when it is time to speak to someone about their sins or weaknesses? How do you have that conversation? What if they reject the Way of Jesus and lash out at you? We cover all this and more in this weeks episode.

n part 3 of our Judge Not series from Matthew 7 Fr Ryan looks at the impact that the judgements of a hypocrite have on the person struggling with sin, weaknesses, and sorrow compared with the miraculous healing that comes from the care of a friend who has received the Way of Jesus for their own sins, failures, and sorrows first.

Why not judge? In Matthew 7:1&2 Jesus begins his teaching on non-judgement with a gracious warning to his followers that the measure with which they use to judge others will be used upon them.

We continue our studies of The Good Way of Jesus according to the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew’s Gospel with “Judge not, that you be not judged.” (Mtt7)Despite our attempts to escape judgement by leaving traditional society and religions behind we now find ourselves drowning in more judgements than ever. Thankfully the Way of Jesus offers us a third way—the way of non-judgement.
