2 Kings 22:1-11 // Paul Brandes

King Josiah of Judah led a remarkable reign dedicated to restoring faith in Yahweh. This video explores his reforms, the rediscovery of the Torah, and his tragic end. King Josiah's story is one of remarkable devotion and religious revival. As a young king, he takes the throne and spearheads the repair of the Temple. A pivotal discovery within the Temple leads to a kingdom-wide reformation. Idols are destroyed, pagan worship is purged, and the Passover is observed with renewed fervor. Despite Josiah's dedication, judgment hangs over his reign. A prophecy foretells hardship, and Josiah meets an untimely death in battle.
