#B06 - The Tabernacle - A Let's Pretend Visit
This is a respectful pretend visit to the Lord's Tabernacle out in the wilderness as "you and I" pretend that we are able to go back about 3500 years in time. This is a fun way to teach children about the Tabernacle of the Lord. First we examine the fence, then we stand in the doorway of the Tabernacle courtyard. Of course, we don't go inside of it, but we reverently look into the courtyard, and 2 Levites and a priest come by and kindly explain things to us -- how it was built and what it is inside of it. This audio is full of our conversations with each other. But at both the beginning and the end I make it clear that we are only pretending. Of course, the Gospel is included. Aimed at children 5-12, but adults may well enjoy the "visit" also!

#29 - Deborah, a Prophetess & Judge
The exciting story of Deborah where she goes with Barak to fight Sisera. It tells how the small Hebrew army won (with the Lord's help!) against the enormous enemy army and of Sisera's ignominious defeat by Jael. The gospel is included. For children 4-10 years old, though adults may also enjoy it.

#17 - Melchizedek, A Mystery Man
This tells all the Bible has on this mysterious man, Melchizedek. Then it goes on to show how Christ is a priest "after the order of Melchizedeck" and some of what that means, making comparisons between the two and showing that, though similar, that Christ is much the superior. At the end of the PDF is a short chart that shows these comparisons. It's short, only 20 minutes. Of course, the Gospel is given. Children (6-12 years old) and adults will enjoy this.

#A07 - A Shepherd Boy Finds the Dead Sea Scrolls
This tells the exciting story of how a Bedouin shepherd boy found the Dead Sea Scrolls while looking for a lost goat. Then I tell how very important this find is, how it shows that God's Word hasn't changed in over 2000 years -- we can trust the Bible. The Isaiah Scroll is used to present the Gospel. For children 4 - 10, but I've been told by adults that they enjoyed it, as well. This is part of my Children's Apologetic Series which includes "The Master Builder", "Jesus as Prophesied in the Old Testament", "A Gospel Treasure Hunt", "Kids, God Made Marriage!", "Gravity, George Washington, and God", and "Miracles, Butterflies, & Resurrection".

#25 - Miriam, the Sister of Moses
The story of Miriam, the sister of the great Moses! The Bible doesn't tell us a lot about Miriam, but what it does tell is very interesting. This covers what is known about her from when she was a little girl watching her baby brother in a basket in the river through her song after the crossing of the Red Sea, her jealousy of her younger brother in the wilderness and its consequences, until her death at a ripe old age. Of course, the Gospel is included.

#B05 - Passover & Jesus, Our Passover Lamb
Tells the exciting story of the first Passover. Then it shows how it was a picture/prophecy of Jesus, our Passover Lamb. Also includes the Feast of Unleavened Bread and the Feast of Firstfruits (the Resurrection!). Of course, this includes the Gospel. For children 5-12, though adults have also enjoyed my audios. The PDF has the text not only of the audio, but also has 2 charts, one showing "at a glance" the comparison between Passover and Jesus, and the other giving the Biblical references.

#54 - Philip, Deacon and Evangelist
This has all that the Bible tells us about Philip who was both a Deacon and an Evangelist. It includes his being guided by the Holy Spirit to witness to the traveling Ethiopian official. There isn't a lot, but it is interesting! Of course, the Gospel is included. For children 4-10 years old, though adults may also enjoy it.

#33 - Jonathan, A Good Friend to David
These are exciting stories of Jonathan (King Saul's son), showing his courage, his trust in the Lord, and his loyal friendship to David. Includes the Gospel. Told for children 4-10 years of age, though adults may also enjoy it.

#C02 - Let's Make a Bible Timeline! (Video)
This is a video in which I talk while making a timeline of the Bible, step by step. I've taught this timeline to my own children, to a children's Sunday School, and to two different women's Sunday School classes. I myself have found it extremely helpful in remembering the chronology of the Bible and in being able to "place" people and events into the Bible history. It is 31 minutes long and should be of interest (and understandable) to children about 7 years old and older and also to adults. It presents a 6,000 history of earth, but if you disagree with this, this video could still be used from Abraham on. This is a topic which I avoid on my audios, so parents who hold other views will feel comfortable playing them for their children. But with a timeline, naturally, I had to give my view of time! Of course, the Gospel is included. The PDF includes a completed color timeline at the end.

#001 - Days of Creation Video for Kids
This 10-minute video follows Genesis 1 and shows the days of Creation one at a time using colored sketches. I show a simple pattern in the days that helps in memorization. Strictly Bible. I've used this format and pictures in teaching my own children as well as both children's and women's Sunday School classes. There is also a PDF, and under "photos" or "album" on my page you can find the key pictures which you may use if you wish in your own teaching. Includes the Gospel at the end. For ages 4-10, though adults can also use this as a good review.

#31 - Samson, A Strong Man Against the Philistines
The story of Samson from the prophesy of his birth until his dramatic death. I point out that God can even use our faults for good, but still, it's best that we should try to be good! The Gospel is given. For ages 5-11, though adults may also enjoy it.

#28 - Ehud, a Mighty Deliverer
This is the exciting story of the judge, Ehud, and how he delivered (saved) the children of Israel from Eglon, king of Moab. Includes the very short story of Shamgar as well. For children 4-10, but adults have also enjoyed my audios. Connects to the greatest Deliverer (Saviour) the Lord Jesus and gives the Gospel.

#27 - Caleb, A Good Spy & Warrior
This tells what we know from the Bible of the life of Caleb -- when he spied the land and when he got the land that had been promised to him. Not long, but exciting! Stresses his faith in the Lord. The Gospel is given. For ages 4 -10, though adults have enjoyed and learned from it as well.

#49 - Zacchaeus Meets Jesus
The story of Zacchaeus told for children (about 4-10), though adults may also enjoy it. Gives the "before and after" stories as well -- "before" Is about blind Bartimaeus and then "after" is about the Triumphal Entry. This way children will have the context in which the story of Zacchaeus happened. Of course the Gospel is given.

#32 - Ruth, a Loving Daughter-in-Law
This is a detailed paraphrase for children of the book of Ruth. In an earlier audio ("The Books of Judges and Ruth) I briefly gave the story of Ruth, but now in this one I go into much more detail. Includes the Gospel. For children 4-10, though adults have also enjoyed and learned from my audios.

#15 - Noah and the Flood (for Kids)
Tells the story of Noah and the Flood strictly from the Bible. Goes on to tell the story of tower of Babel and introduces Abraham. Includes the Gospel. For children 4-10, though adults may also enjoy it.

#14 - Cain & Abel and Life Before the Flood (for Kids)
A paraphrase for children of Genesis 4 where Cain kills Abel and what happens afterwards. Also, tells of life before the Flood and ties in the chronology from Adam to Noah. Tells about Enoch. The Gospel is given. For children 4-10, though adults may also enjoy it.

#13 - The Fall of Man & the Promise of a Savior (for Kids)
This is a paraphrase of Genesis 3, telling the story of the serpent and of Adam and Eve's eating of the forbidden fruit. It explains why we don't live in the beautiful Garden of Eden. But also, from the prophecy of the Messiah (Genesis 3:15), it gives the Gospel -- the way to Paradise. For children 4-10, though adults may also enjoy it.

#12 - Creation for Kids (Genesis 1-2)
This is a paraphrase for children of the story of Creation from Genesis 1-2. Goes through the 6 Days of Creation in order. Includes the Gospel. For children 4-10, though adults may also enjoy it.

#C01 - How to Make a Resurrection Day Cake Video!
Something new for me!!! I've done a very short video (51 seconds!) on how to very easily make a Resurrection Day Cake. Our family has been doing this for years, and I thought you might want to start this Easter tradition with your family as well, to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus. We use it as the centerpiece for our Easter dinner, and it is a reminder all during the meal that "He is not here!! He is risen!!" Hallelujah!!!!!!!! Here's how to make a Resurrection Day Cake: 1) Buy or make a cake. 2) Dig out a "cave" in the side. 3) Put a cookie or peppermint pattie as a "stone" next to the "empty tomb". 4) Decorate or not as you wish (get the kids involved!). 5) Cut the cake from the back in order to keep the "empty tomb" as long as possible. You can just leave the cake as is. But I like to put fresh flowers from my back yard on top, a sort of picture of new life from the earth. After I told my young church mothers about this, one family put knocked down little green army men for the guards! Another folded a stick of gum and put in the "cave" for the folded grave clothes! (I'll bet the kids were in on this! But I never went this far!) Please comment if you make a Resurrection Day Cake. Enjoy!!

#A06 - Miracles, Butterflies, & Resurrection
"Miracles, Butterflies, & Resurrection" tells of the Creation miracles around us focusing on the life cycle of the butterflies in my back yard. This originally was made for my great-grandson. Also connects butterflies metamorphosis to the resurrection of Jesus and to believers' coming resurrection. Includes the Gospel. For ages 4-10, and adults have also enjoyed and learned from my audios. Part of the Apologetics for Children series which includes "The Master Builder", "Gravity, George Washington, and God", "Kids, God Made Marriage", "Jesus! Foretold by Old Testament Prophets", and "A Gospel Treasure Hunt".

#65 - Singing Through the Bible with Sunday School Songs
Here are 22 familiar Sunday School songs that go through the Bible storyline chronologically. Some of these are "How Did Moses Cross the Red Sea?", "Only a Boy Named David", "Away in the Manger", "Zaccheus Was a Wee Little Man", and "The Wise Man Built His House Upon the Rock". I do short narrations in between to tie them together historically, but end up with "Jesus Loves Me". Of course, the Gospel is given. I do the singing without accompaniment in a very simple manner. The words to all these songs are in the pdf. I started off to do this for my 2 little great-grandsons, but then got to thinking that your children might enjoy it, too. Sunday School songs can bring back good childhood memories, but they can also teach the Bible and give the Gospel.

#47 - The Prodigal Son: A Story Jesus Told
I tell the parable of the Prodigal Son and explained it so children can see the father's love for both of his sons. Then I show how that is a picture of how God loves sinners and that He desires for them to repent. The Gospel is given. For children ages 4-10, though adults have also enjoyed and learned from my audios

#A05 - Gravity, George Washington, and God
This apologetics for children audio answers the question of how we can know about God and Jesus, though we can't see Them. But I do this without bringing the questions up, so as not to raise doubt in little children, but to prepare them if these questions do come up. I do this by talking of things we can't see (like gravity) but know are there by what they do, and then how we know about historical persons (like George Washington) from eyewitnesses and historians. Includes the Gospel. This was inspired by a recent actual question from a 6 year old boy and the answer I gave him. For children ages 4-10, though adults have enjoyed and learned from my audios. This is part of my Apologetics for Children Series that includes "The Master Builder", "A Gospel Treasure Hunt" (on the resurrection of Jesus), "Jesus! Foretold by the Old Testament Prophets!", and "Kids, God Made Marriage".

#53 - The Apostle Thomas: Didymus? Let's Be Bible Detectives!
The story of the Apostle Thomas from the Gospels, including his "doubting" but then later believing. Since there is little about Thomas himself in the Bible, I used this as an opportunity to introduce the children to the use of "Bible detective tools" (concordance, lexicon, harmony of the Gospels, Bible dictionary, and Bible atlas) in order to discover interesting things in the Bible. Includes the Gospel. For ages 7-11, though adults have also enjoyed and learned from my Bible audios.

#A04 - God Made Marriage - Told for Young Children
Shows that God made marriage between one man and one woman. Discretely told for young children (4-10) so as not to offer too much information. Tells the story of God's making marriage with Adam and Eve, discusses design, and that marriage is a picture of Christ and the church (which is also used to present the Gospel). Discusses what love is, doing what's right even if we feel like doing something else, and other principles in the current marriage debate while only presenting marriage between one man and one woman (divorce, polygamy, etc. not even mentioned). Positively covers adoption and situations like Mordecai's caring for his orphaned cousin Esther (in the book of Esther). I'm a great-grandmother and told this in a way that I would be comfortable to tell it to any of my little ones. Its PDF is a short booklet that contains not only the text of the audio but a section specifically for parents with the text given a second time with 24 inserted "Points for Parents" and then a list of additional Resources. Adults have also enjoyed and learned from my Bible audios. Part of my Apologetics for Children series, which includes "The Master Builder" (God is the Creator), "Jesus! Foretold by the Old Testament Prophets!", and "A Gospel Treasure Hunt" (the death and resurrection of Jesus).

(For a pre-millennial/restoration-of-Israel presentation, see "From Eden to the New Jerusalem".) The "spine" that holds the story together is Messianic prophecy. Includes the Gospel. For ages 4-10, though adults may also enjoy it.

#63 - From Eden to the New Jerusalem

(For a general, endtime review, see "From Eden to Eternity", which is even on an a-millennail church's website!) There are two "spines" holding the story together: (1) Messianic prophecy and (2) the "buildings" of the Lord (Tabernacle/Solomon's temple/Ezra's-Herod's temple/end times temple/ Ezekiel's temple/the New Jerusalem). #A03 - A Gospel Treasure Hunt
Using 1 Corinthians 15:3-8 as a "treasure map" for children 5 and up, together we search the Bible for the treasure of the truth of Christ's death, burial, empty tomb, and resurrection. Then we show the treasures that we receive when we trust in the Good News, including God, salvation, hope, truth, joy, a big family, love, and others. Presents positive apologetics without bringing up any doubts for little children that Christ really died, was really buried, the tomb was really empty, and He really rose physically and really appeared to people afterwards. Again, this is all done in a simple, positive way for ages 5 and up. Part of my children's apologetic series which also includes "The Master Builder" (God is the Creator) and "Jesus!
