Show Notes
Hey, it’s Amy Newmark with some instant inspiration from Chicken Soup for the Soul. Today, I want to talk about a disease that affects almost every family at some point—Alzheimer’s or one of the other kinds of dementia. They all basically manifest the same way, no matter what they’re called. At some point, those “senior moments” become more sinister and often people will even go to the doctors themselves to find out what’s going on. I’ve always been fascinated by what it’s like to get the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s—to know what’s coming. And when we made our hugely successful book about Living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias four years ago, we had a whole chapter in the book with stories from the patients themselves and many other stories from their family members talking about those early days.
