In our final interview in our series on health resources, we turn our attention to food. Our guest this time is Cicely McClennon. Cicely is a long time activist and organizer for revolutionary struggle. Her focus has been on food sovereignty, the effort to control our own land and grow our own food, whether in an urban or rural setting. Cicely is a "native" of Englewood in Chicago and a repatriate to Ghana in Africa. She works with many food growing and processing organizations and cooperatives, in addition to legislators involved with food policy to provide access to quality food and profitability to food producers.
