Chicago Cubs blow late lead vs Blue Jays, lose 5-4
The Cubs kicked off their series vs the Blue Jays, Monday Night in Toronto. The Cubs offense got going early, jumping out to a 4-0 lead thanks to RBI by Nico Hoerner and Willson Conteras. However, the Blue Jays came storming back tying the game at 4 after a Danny Jansen three-run homer in the seventh and Matt Chapman's RBI single in the eighth.
