After a quick brainstorm about what to talk about on today’s show, Joe and David decide to look at some life hacks. But after a promising start, they soon get board of the idea. After listening to an old Chatabix episode from a couple of years ago, David’s remembered his plan to track down some swingers to talk to on the pod. He and Joe quickly realise it might be quite a weird thing to do, but plough on with the idea nonetheless. Joe’s also pretty worried about the dark web, as he thinks they may have to use it for their research. But as David can’t turn off his browser’s safe-search setting, it looks like it might be up to Joe to do most of the work. After some chat about Spotify playlists and whether they’re starting to looking old, Joe asks David if he’s had any progress with his plans to become a house-husband. On a recent episode of the pod, David and Joe talked about heart attacks and mentioned that they’d be fascinated to speak with someone who’s had one. Petra’s been away for a week and to be honest, Joe’s been struggling on his own. Today’s episode begins all very innocently, with David and Joe talking about waterproof watches and looking at some old photos of themselves. Joe’s just back from a trip to the Isle of White where he over-ate and also had quite a few compliments from the locals about The Cockfields. Being a big supporter of the RNLI, he also took the opportunity to visit their station in Bembridge and tells David about watching one of the boats launch. Then for some reason, David remembers that David Walliams has swam the English Channel and so they want to find someone who’s done that too, to ask them what it’s like. Talk then inevitably turns to moving to the Isle of White and also, who gets the ball rolling on discussions about stuff like that with their wives. They then consider loads of other locations across the UK as possibilities to relocate to - so much so that it soon develops into a ‘yes or no’ game show. As David’s returning to St Ives for another visit soon, Joe tells him about the time he went to the Tate gallery there.
