We learn what God means by a carnal mind in Romans chapter 8 and it means a 'fleshy mind' whereby sin is most prevalent as many continue to walk in life seeking to please the flesh, aka narcissists. Chosen ones learn to repent and understand that it is no longer us who walks but Christ who walks through us and so we are dead in the flesh but alive in Spirit! Glory be to God. Narcissists will never understand God's spiritual truths because they continue to live in their flesh, seeking to please fleshy desires.
