Primary care providers and Pediatricians play a vital role in the identification, prevention, and management of pediatric mental health. With the increased need for mental health services and limited access to resources, early detection is a crucial first step. On this episode, we are going to discuss the importance of routine mental health screenings and the tools and resources primary care providers can leverage within the medical home.
Today I am happy to be speaking with Dr. Robert Hilt and Dr. Sandra Fritsch. Dr. Hilt is a professor at the University of Washington, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and a psychiatrist at Seattle Children's Hospital. Dr. Fritsch is a psychiatrist that works in our Child and Adolescent Psychiatry department here at Children's Colorado.
