Phoenix Suns guard Gillespie breaks franchise record for most three-pointers in a season, surpassing Quentin Richardsons mark of 226 in the 2004-2005 season. He achieves this feat in just 76 games, using 77 fewer attempts than Richardson. Gillespie joins Richardson, Raja Bell, Gerald Green, and Grayson Allen as the only Suns to hit 200 threes in a season. Hes currently posting career-best numbers, averaging 13 points, 4.8 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game. Despite the record, the Suns lose to the Hornets, who shot 52% from the field and owned the glass.
