A man from Morgan County, West Virginia, was sentenced to 56.5 to 125 years in prison for a violent rampage last summer. Melvin Emery James Gallion broke into a home, terrorized a woman and her young kids, shot and injured a sheriffs deputy, and killed two dogs. He was convicted of attempted first-degree murder, malicious assault, burglary, four wanton endangerments with a firearm, child neglect risking death, felon in possession, and more. Judge Deborah McLaughlin maxed him out at the states request.
