Show Notes

Leviticus 12 outlines the purification offering required after childbirth, including God’s merciful provision for families too poor to afford a lamb. In Luke 2, Mary and Joseph bring the offering of the poor—two birds—revealing their humble condition. Yet in their arms they carry the true Lamb of God, fulfilling the deeper prophetic meaning of the law. Their poverty highlights heaven’s provision: though they could not afford a lamb, they brought the Lamb who would take away the sins of the world.
