Carrboro Mayor Barbara Foushee speaks with 97.9 The Hill’s Brighton McConnell on Friday, Mar. 27. Foushee discusses a pair of recent proclamations passed to highlight national and global issues: transgender rights and environmental sustainability. The mayor shares reflections on what Trans Day of Visibility means to her in 2026 and some of Carrboro’s climate action efforts that stand out to her most recently in honor of Earth Hour. Plus, Foushee shares details on a pair of other events coming up this weekend: local egg hunts and a Creek Week cleanup!
