Verifying Application Startup on Linux (froscon2022)

This talk will look at how we can ensure that a user space application was started successfully. We will provide an overview of how an application is started, looking at the glibc and the Linux kernel. Then we'll identify potential problems which could affect the application startup, both at application startup time and at build time.
