Trust in digital communication (jev22)

This is a presentation trying to explain what trust is - at the concept level as well as some key implementation details - and why it is important - especially in digital communication. The talk will mainly focus on trust - why it is needed and how it is established when all there is to talk to are machines. It will - where appropriate present examples from history to make current technology relatable. The talk concentrates mainly on Public Key Cryptography with short mentions of other technologies but without blockchain.
