Ever wondered what's inside the barcode on your mobile train ticket? Wondered why train companies are so keen for you to ditch your paper one and switch over to mobile tickets? This talk will answer these and other questions, in a brief overview of how I reverse engineered the RSP6 standard used for mobile rail ticketing in the UK, and why you might want to think twice before using mobile tickets if you're especially privacy-conscious.
