Manualization - reclaiming humanity in the age of automation (bornhack2021)

In general mankind seems hell-bend on automating ourselfs out of this world, celebrating the idea of humans free of the toil of labour, but also humans without a purpuse. Everytime we automate something, a human is loosing a job, a task, they used to be masters of, reducing their feeling of selfworth and their source of income. Automation comes with a cost: Loss of agency.
