Language: DE Translation: EN Recording: NO Are you tired of therapists who do not understand your worldview? Have you been unsuccessful in trying to phone your way through an endless list of therapists or are you lacking the success mindset of paying for your therapy as a private luxury? Or maybe you just want to exchange with cool, like-minded people in a safe space about the shit that is happening in our society, about societal and political power strutures, cultural and sociological imprinting as well as finding ways to be authentic, free and good to yourself? Then Radical Therapy (RT) could be your thing. RT relies on methods from co-counselling, expanding them with theory from the radical psychiatry of transactional analysis. You will have the opportunity to get a glimpse into elements of RT. Also, of course, you will learn how to find or start a respective group.

The ongoing digitization of the society and services call for a high availability of secure mobile networks, like 5G. Remote attestation can be a measure to maximize trust, security and privacy when using a mobile telecommunications network. In this talk, I give a rough overview on how a mobile network works, followed by some insight into ongoing threats the public mobile network is facing in the past years. As a solution to some of the threats, remote attestation is a heavily discussed topic in research, and even from the mobile equipment vendors. I give an introduction into the topic of remote attestation and how and where it can be used in mobile networks and how it might impact the performance. about this event: https://cfp.fairydust.reisen/iger-2024/talk/YCWG7K/

There's nothing good on TV, and streaming curses you with the Paradox of Choice. So why not be Elliot Carver for a day and run your own Cable, satellite or UHF TV station - or even a whole network? With a few low-cost computer boards (Raspberry Pi's work but others are fine too) and video modulators, you can recreate the wonders of 1990s Cable TV in your own home, flat, or living room. I'll also talk about going further and how I recovered and resurrected a General Instrument ACC-4000 headend controller PC and used it to configure a small fleet of cable boxes. Ever wondered about what's behind large advertising billboards? Interested in pretty blinking lights? Curious about electronics and circuit board design? This talk might be for you! Our hackspace recently got a donation of ~800 LED matrix panels (squares with lots of tiny LEDs on them), with little in the way of documentation. I'll explain how they work, how we got them to light up and display things, and how to make it fast enough to display 30fps video -- all with commodity parts that cost less than 20 pounds. We'll explore the weird and wonderful world of poorly translated datasheets and control software, marvel at the library of weird glitched-out images I ended up with on the road to success, and dive into the strange but extremely useful Programmable I/O block of the RP2040 microcontroller. If the stars align, you'll be able to see everything working on a real demonstration panel, too! Although we'll be going into detail on some bits, this talk should be accessible to most audiences. about this event: https://www.emfcamp.org/schedule/2024/199-driving-fancy-led-panels-with-commodity-hardware

You have an object / art installation/auction purchase and want it somewhere else? What are the options of getting it there without breaking yourself? This will be a short, hopefully entertaining, overview of transport options, their financial and environmental impact and the time they take. This talk is based on examples of personal experience sending hacky art installations around Europe and the globe. By doing this many questions had to be answered for example: - how big are doors? - why acessability regulayions are great or not? - what fits in an elevator? - how much fits in a van? - what fit’s in a cargo aeroplane? There will be dragons! Along the way we’ll encounter customs officers, new excitement around rules for international road haulage, air freight and how astronomically long container shipping takes. A talk about the difficulties of geospatial analysis when the country you are interested is on the edge of the world map. We'll go over some background before showing what happens when you try and draw a box around this country and the issues this causes everyone from blury satellite views to navigation failing. And why it happens. The east and west edge of the classic Eurocentric world map, with the prime meridian down the middle, are both the same place, this causes some interesting effects.
