Wir schauen uns den Aufbau von OCI Images an und wie daraus leichtgewichtige Container werden. Cool, unsere Software läuft 🥳. Bei uns 🤔. Mit genau dieser einen Bibliotheksversion und genau diesen Umgebungsparametern 😟. Damit das aber nicht nur bei uns, sondern auch bei anderen leicht reproduzierbar funktioniert: Stellen wir doch ein Image bereit und deployen das 🚀. Durch die Einführung von OCI Containern wurde viel Reproduzierbarkeit gewonnen. Wir haben alle schon mit ihnen zu tun gehabt. Außerdem eignen sich Images, Hauptzutat für die Container, gut für iterative Weiterentwicklung. Kleine Änderung? Einfach als neues Layer hinzufügen. 👍 Doch so entstehen viel zu oft Images mit unschönen Eigenschaften: Sie werden zu groß. Die daraus entstehenden Container gleichen eher einem resourcenfressenden Multitool statt dem geeigneteren Werkzeug. Manchmal gibt es kleine Unachtsamkeiten und es werden unbeabsichtigt (Zugangs-)Daten mit der Welt geteilt. Wie das mit den Updates laufen soll, ist auch nicht überall klar. Veraltete Basisimages schleichen sich in deployte Container und plötzlich läuft auf unserem Server Software mit bekannten Sicherheitslücken. In diesem Vortrag schauen wir, wie OCI Container in Speicherverbrauch und Laufzeit leichtgewichtig werden und so Ressourcen sparen: Multistage Builds, unbeabsichtigte Caches im Image, und Image Layer Squash. Damit wir da nicht dauernd selbst dran denken müssen: wie sich das kombiniert mit einem Vulnerability Scanner für unsere CI/CD Pipeline automatisieren lässt. Laser cutters are quick, precise and easy to use. Being 2D is what makes them so easy to use but creates challenges on how to create truely 3D objects from flat parts. This talk will discuss common design challenges and show solutions found in Boxes.py and else where. We will looks at this mainly from a plywood POV but many point apply to other materials also. The talk will cover wood and especially plywood as a building material and general Boxes.py tropes like finger joints, flex cut, flat dove tail joints, gears, integral springs and flexures. On 15 and 16 September 1872, an episode in world history took place in Saint-Imier, even if few of the village's inhabitants realised it. It was a crucial moment in the history of the left, when the socialist currents - reformist, centralising communist and anarchist - began to differentiate. The federations of the International Workers' Association (IWA) sent delegates from Italy, Spain, France, Russia and other countries. For two days they have been holding discussions with local activists here at the Hôtel de la Maison de Ville. The four long resolutions adopted by what came to be known as the founding Congress of the Anti-Authoritarian International have the function of a charter of anarchism. They contain the essential principles and strategies of its anarcho-syndicalist and insurrectionary branches. They still have a worldwide echo today.Why this crucial congress for the history of anarchism was hold in Switzerland? What is the relation between watchmaking industry and the beginning of the global anarchist mouvement? Visuelle Reise zu den Sternen, in denen wir in der Hauptrolle als Chief Storage Engineer ein ums andere Mal das Schiff und die Crew vor allerlei Gefahren retten. Wir nebenbei die wichtigsten OpenZFS-Kommandos kennen, die wir auch heute schon anwenden können, obwohl Sie uns wie aus der Zukunft vorkommen mögen. Wir begeben uns in diesem Vortrag auf eine intergalaktische Reise und lernen dabei, warum OpenZFS das ideale Dateisystem für eine solche Erkundungsreise ist. Schon als sich unser Raumschiff noch im Bau befand, trafen die Ingenieure bereits wichtige Entscheidungen zum Layout des Storage Pools, um die auf der Mission gesammelten Daten sicher abzuspeichern. Zum Start der Reise steht somit alles für die Crew bereit, um sich den gigantischen Speicher an Bord gemeinsam zu teilen. Auf der Reise bekommen wir durch verschiedene Begegnungen und Ereignisse an Bord das System noch weiter zu schätzen. Werden wir es schaffen, den gefürchteten Krypto-Trojaniden zu entkommen? Welche Fehlermeldungen lauern auf uns und kann sich der Speicher tatsächlich selbst heilen? Und wie kann die Crew zwischendrin die Speicherbänke zur Erde senden, um sowohl Forschungsergebnisse als auch die Alien-Selfies für die Nachwelt zu erhalten? Gnucap ist ein moderner, modularer und freier Schaltungssimulator. Die Entwicklung wurde nach Erhalt Finanzieller Unterstützung wieder aufgenommen. Das Gnu Circuit Analysis Package implementierte seinerzeit Simulationsalgorithmen, die SPICE-basierten Implementierungen (UC Berkeley, ~1980) in Effizienz und Genauigkeit deutlich überlegen waren. SPICE-Derivate sind jedoch seither nur in proprietären Simulatoren wesentlich weiterentwickelt worden. Zur Zeit arbeiten wir an einer ersten freien Implementierung des Modellierungsstandards "Verilog-AMS", der weite Verbeitung im kommerziellen Bereich hat. Women in Exile is a self-organised group of migrant women (many of whom are refugees) in Germany. Their struggle is unique in that it is a group designed by migrant women, and white women, as friends, that don't have the priority neither the domination. Instead, they provide support at all levels, but the decisions are taken and the fight is led by the women in exile. Their organisational model can guide us in overcoming the relations of power and domination between Western and racialised women in a common struggle. Probably most anarchist groups would agree on that. However, when it comes to the specific definition of the goals - and the means that are to bring about these goals - positions diverge widely. For example, there is disagreement about the relative importance that should be given to the individual versus the collective, or about the extent to which violence is a legitimate and purposeful means in the process of social transformation.In this workshop we will discuss to what extent a secular spiritual practice can help to clarify such questions. Four themes often central to spiritual practice, but usually given little attention in anarchist circles, will be addressed: The ego, death, love, and meditation. Buddhist texts, works from the philosophy of consciousness, and feminist writings by black women and women of color serve as inspiration for the thematic inputs.Inputs and general discussion will most likely be in English. Part of the beauty and continued relevance of anarchism comes from the diversity and constant evolution of its theoretical and practical approaches. However, anarchists in different locations, different subcultures, different social groups, etc often do not collaborate, talk to each other, or even know about each other. Rarely do they see themselves as all acting together to pursue overarching strategies. In 2020 belarusian society rose against the dictatorship of Alexander Lukashenko and his minions. For months people organized, demonstrated and fought for a just and free society. However, the state prevailed and started smashing the protest step by step. It’s been more than 2 years since the beginning of the uprising. Thousands ended up in prison for many years. Among them anarchists and antifascists who stood on the streets with the people. Despite already a long period of time that passed since the protests, the state terror continues, with more arrests on the regular basis for participation in the protests or continuing resistance against the regime.Anarchist Black Cross Belarus for 13 years organizes solidarity work with repressed anarchists and antifascists. This work requires a lot of resources and time. In the last years with support of comrades from all around the world we managed to continue working, however in recent months our funds were drained by constant court cases. The current social democratic government of Mexico and it's president Andrés Manuel López Obrador are pushing for a territorial restructuring ("ordenamiento territorial") of the south of the country, with the aim of industrialization and - supposedly - creating jobs and economic prosperity. Two large infrastructure projects are meant to open up the territories and their inhabitants for multinacional capitalist exploitation: the so-called "Tren Maya", which is supposed to connect six states - from chiapas to the Yucatán peninsula - on over 1.500 kilometers of rail and the "Corredor Interoceanico del Istmo de Tehuantepec", a 300km long railway and highway corridor connecting ports on the atlantic coast with ports on the pacific coast. The intention behind it is creating an overland Panama Canal and builing several industrial parks to attract international corporations. Both projects, which are supposed to be connected by train, aim the exploitation of water, energy and all the resources of the partly indigenous territories, as well as to create acces for mass tourism. The whole project will be administered by the armed forces, further adding to the drastic problem of militarization and violence. This violence manifests itself already in countless acts against people and (indigenous) communities.As numerous European companies are involved in the projects and governments are expressing their interests in the Mexican resources, we would like to share our knowledge and experiences and discuss what we can do from our territories to support the communities'/people's struggle for autonomy, justice and self-determination and against destruction, violence and militarization.We want to have an open discussion and rather practical approach since in order to stop these developments it needs urgent actions in Europe as well as practical exchange of knowledge with our comrades in Mexico and Abya Yala. We need to stop talking and organize ourselfs to connect ambitions of autonomos spaces like spiderwebs growing from below. Warum? Im Kontext der Gira Zapatista, die im Jahr 2021 stattgefunden hat, sind wir alle auf die ein oder andere Weise mit den Compas, die als Zapatistische Delegation nach Europa gereist waren,aber auch untereinander in der BRD in Kontakt gekommen. Daraus ist in uns der Wunsch gewachsen, die Realität in Chiapas und die dort gelebte und erkämpfte Autonomie kennenzulernen.Im Verlauf unserer Reise(2022/23) durften wir die Autonomie nicht nur kennen lernen, sondern auch mit dem Herzen fühlen, warum es sich für Alternativen im Angesicht der Hydra Kapitalismus zu kämpfen lohnt. Wir hatten die Möglichkeit die Ebenenen der autonomen Gesundheitsversorgung, Bildung und Ökonomie zuerfahren und diese im Zusammenhang des gesellschaftlichen Lebens zu sehen. Why? In the context of the Zapatista Gira, which took place in 2021, we all came into contact in one way or another with the compas who had traveled to Europe as a Zapatista delegation, but also with each other in Germany. In the course of our journey (2022/23) we were not only able to get to know the autonomy, but also to feel with our hearts why it is worthwhile to fight for alternatives in the face of the hydra of capitalism. We had the opportunity to experience the levels of autonomous health care, education and economy and to see them in the context of social life. On 17th January 2018 the project to build an airport in Notre Dames des Landes was abandonned by the state, within days of this announcement, the unity of the movement against the airport and it's world was destroyed. Those who wanted a return to 'normality' ie. sign agreements with the state and legalise their individual projects, turned against the movement of occupation ie. squatters, anarchists who refused this compromise with the state. What followed was 3 months of betrayal, intimidation and political violence played out by authoritarian structures (CMDO, Appelist/Tiqqunist and their allies) from within the movement on anyone who refused to toe the line. Culminating in an eviction of those who refused to sign with the state, this is the story we would like to share, how anti-authoritarian struggles are recuperated by authoritarians who work with the state and do the work of the police. Parwana Amiri kam 2018 als 17-jährige im Flüchtlingscamp Moria an. Die junge Poetin, Autorin und Aktivistin begann dort kraftvolle und wütende Gedichte über die Situation auf den Straßen, die Flüchtlingslager und das europäische System zu schreiben und zu bloggen. Dabei teilt sie sowohl ihre persönliche Perspektive, erzählt aber auch aus der Sicht vieler anderer Refugees, die sie interviewt hat. Sie performt ihre Gedichte und Stücke mit den Händen, was das Erleben noch intensiver macht. Außer Demos, Panels und Workshops machen sie auch Theater und Siebdruck-Kunst, mit der sie eine Underground-Schule für Mädchen und Frauen unterstützen. Sie sind auf uns zugekommen, weil sie mit uns ins Gespräch kommen wollen, wie wir im Globalen Norden die Kämpfe solidarisch unterstützen können, und nicht 'mit guten Absichten' mehr Schaden anzurichten als Gutes zu tun. Apart from demos, panels and workshops they also do theatre and silkscreen art with which they support an underground school for girls and women. They approached us because they want to discuss how we, in the Global North, can actually support the struggles in Afghanistan in solidarity, instead of doing more harm than good with our 'good intentions'.
