Show Notes
On almost every university homepage we find information about staff, organizational units and their projects and publication lists. Current Research Information Systems (CRIS) go one step further and structure these data in a way that enables complex, context-based queries and avoids redundant data, e.g. publications must not be entered repeatedly for administration, homepage etc. In addition, they may offer the functionality of a repository and store documents and research data. We present the open-source software DSpace-CRIS [1] that can be run on-premises to collect and connect the research information of a university or research center. After a general overview about CRIS we will demonstrate a live-installation on a Debian-OS.
