Amplified è un disco pieno di sfumature e influenze diverse, e soprattutto ha produzioni modernissime per i tempi, grazie a un team d'eccezione , the Ummah, che vede schierati lui, l'ex socio Ali Shaheed Muhammad, l'allora enfant prodige J Dilla e il campione del soul Raphael Saadiq.
