- If I’m troubled, discouraged, afraid, anxious then I’ve stopped looking at Jesus- He started your faith and will continue your faith; keep your eyes on Jesus- David talking to himself; we let our old selves talk to us (things of the past, defeat, misery), the new self must talk back- Old self will say you’re not even saved, backslidden... you cannot lose your salvation!- When I need it most God stands up in my life and delivers me from my destruction- Crying out and deliverance always go together- You cannot look at your problems and be victorious
