- Paul wrote to comfort those who’d lost family members- This is the first mention of the rapture- Every parent worries about their children- The easiest way the devil discourages us is through family- Instead of worrying, worship God and He will work it out- The enemy creates confusion in your city of worship (Nehemiah) and weakens your faith and prayers- The more you talk to people about your troubles, the more confused you become; talk to God; don’t listen to too many advisors- Confusion + fear = weakness- Read, worship and give it to God- God removes our sin; we forget that we are weak and fall again- We remember our sins but God forgets them- When He saves you, He becomes your father- Story of job at Belk; father came to buy socks. God will show up to show you that you are on His mind
