Notes:- Afraid of God as a child; went to father for comfort- We teach character of God but leave out the fatherhood- I would never abandon my own children for anything they could do- We abandon people in the church for their mistakes- People are in the bondage of the law- We see people as belonging or disqualified based on a set of rules- We tend to see God as our earthly fathers: absent, abusive, unfaithful, temperamental, irresponsible, merciless, demanding- Through Jesus God has become our righteousness; we must not be scared when we go to prayer- He's gonna take a lot of us to heaven who've fallen flat on our faces- God sees all in the eternal now... yet He saved us; sees us thru Jesus- Worry is not a sin... not a demanding commandment but a loving encouragement. He has everything under control
